  At 2am my dog Casey had fallen out of an unfamiliar bed as we were staying out of down. I wasn't sure if she was injured or if something more was going on because she began stumbling after the fall. Luckily I found the number to First Coast. The lady on the phone was very kind as I described the situation and gave me the address. Dr. Vukich examined her. He was very kind as well and determined that a stroke or seizure was unlikely. She was started on anti-inflammatory medication and is improving. I received a follow up call to check on her and answer any questions.

  No one expects to have to use an emergency vet but if so this is the hospital to trust. Dealing with the upsetting experience of an animal in pain was hard enough. The staff here was very comforting informative and professional. My dog was even excited to see the tech that took care of her on a follow up appointment. The care we received as a family was above And beyond. I couldn’t have expected that this would be something we would have to face but given the circumstances I’m so glad we found them. ❤️

  Anyone that knows me knows that I am a bit of a helicopter mom when it comes to my Harper Grace. Surgery is nerve racking for any pet owner, EXPECIALLY a helicopter mom like myself. The staff here is beyond fantastic! One of the best things about this clinic is the way every staff member makes you feel like you and your animal are the only thing they have on the books, even when its an emergency clinic and a specialist. Amy Davis is one of the best vet techs I have ever encountered and I would never want to trust anyone but Dr. McNicholas and his team to do surgery on my princess. The staff was running late getting to me on the day I came in because they had a few patients with bigger emergencies than we had. This can be a bit frustrating as you sit there anxiously with your pet, but I got GREAT comfort knowing that my Harper would get the same attention as the other patients ahead of me. It told me that Dr. McNicholas and his staff are nothing but very thorough with every patient they have, and they do not rush anyone out the door. They take time with every single patient and client making sure you are comfortable. This gave me so much relief knowing I was leaving not only my princess, but my service animal in someone else's hands. Thank you so much to this whole team for taking care of my princess for me!
